Joao Pedro will finally join Watford from Fluminense next year after the club confirmed his work permit had been approved.
The Brazilian forward has been scheduled to join in January after turning 18 and following their Carabao Cup defeat to Everton on Tuesday evening, the club confirmed his permit had been given the green light.
Before the game against the Toffees, head coach Quique Sanchez Flores said he is aware of the talents Pedro possesses, but that it could take time for him to make an impact once he has arrived.
"I know the player, I saw the player, he's a young one with a really probably good career in front," he said.
"But you know these kind of players, they need time to adapt to many things."
