Gerard Deulofeu expressed his delight after Watford ended their six-game winless run with victory over Cardiff City on Saturday.
The former Barcelona man opened the scoring on a freezing cold day at Vicarage Road, conditions he described as "terrible".
Further goals from Jose Holebas and Domingos Quina strengthened the Hornets' grip on the contest, before the visitors netted twice late on through Junior Hoilett and Bobby Reid.
Speaking to the club website, he said: “It was terrible, the cold. We are so happy for getting the three points.
“I’m really happy to score and to help my team. I have to continue like this, scoring, but the team was really good. You will see here in the Premier League you have to continue for 90 minutes.
“After Cardiff pushed and got to 3-1 and then 3-2, I am happy that we managed to take the three points. The most important thing is the three points because it had been a long period without that.”
Deulofeu believes the victory will inspire confidence within the team as they prepare for a trip to the London Stadium to face West Ham United this weekend, a game he believes will be a tough encounter.
He said: “The last game we are so close at Goodison, now we have taken the three points we want to go up the table. Let’s see what happens in West Ham and we have to fight.”
