Roberto Pereyra’s superb finish in Watford’s 2-0 victory at Wolverhampton Wanderers has been shortlisted for October’s Premier League Carling Goal of the Month prize.
The Hornets had taken the lead less than a minute earlier through Etienne Capoue’s long-range effort when the Argentine was played in on the left side of the penalty area and he beat Rui Patricio with a fine strike with the outside of his weaker left foot to seal a stunning 58-second blitz for Javi Gracia’s men.
The Watford top scorer’s effort is one of eight goals shortlisted for the award. The others are: Ricardo Pereira (Leicester City v Everton); Gylfi Sigurdsson (Leicester v Everton); Aaron Ramsey (Fulham v Arsenal); Andre Schurrle (Cardiff City v Fulham); Riyad Mahrez (Manchester City v Burnley); Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Arsenal v Leicester City); Anthony Martial (Manchester United v Everton).
Click here to vote for Pereyra's goal by midnight on Monday, November 5.
