A driver is in hospital after being involved in three separate crashes on the M25.
Officers were called just after 11am on Sunday to reports of a silver Audi being driven erratically, Surrey Police said.
The car finally stopped when it collided with the central reservation, trapping the driver inside. He was cut free by firefighters and taken to hospital, a spokesman said.
No-one was seriously injured and all lanes of the motorway have been re-opened.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who saw the car in the minutes leading up to the crashes or has dashcam footage. Call 101 quoting PR/P18005008.
