AN artist from Pinner will have her sculptures showcased at a national exhibition in central London after being selected from hundreds of entries.

Linda Zelin, 70, who is a member of Pinner Sketch Club in Love Lane, was selected from over 900 entries to The Royal Society of British Artists' annual exhibition and will have three works on display at the Mall Galleries near Trafalgar Square.

Mrs Zelin, from Northwood, who has been working as an artist for more than 25 years, said: “I was thrilled to be accepted and it was completely unexpected.

“I hope it encourages people in the area to get involved in the sketch club and come to the club's exhibition in August.”

“It will be great for the club to get some exposure and that's really the reason that I entered.”

The Pinner Sketch Club currently has about 100 members and holds its yearly exhibition at Pinner Parish Church in Church Lane.

Mrs Zelin has also been accepted for a national watercolour exhibition at the Mall Galleries in April, which will see her work featured amongst Britain's leading painters.

The sculpture exhibition opens on March 2 and runs for ten days. Click here for more information.
