A FORMER doctors' surgery manager has denied claiming tens of thousands of pounds in wages and overtime through fraud.
Brenda Duncan appeared at Wood Green Crown Court this morning to deny six counts of fraud from her job at Oak Lodge Medical Centre where she worked as practice manager.
Prosecutors allege between 2007 and the end of last year, the 48-year-old paid herself huge sums of money in overtime and changed her pay grade to receive an inflated salary.
Ms Duncan, of Peterborough Road, Harrow, denies all the charges against her and the case is due to go to trial on January 24 next year.
Ms Duncan has been released on bail until the week-long trial begins.
