AROUND a dozen jobs are being created as a new chain prepares to moves into an Edgware shopping centre this week.

Blue Inc is setting up in the unit vacated by Ethel Austin in The Broadwalk Centre, Station Road, with an official opening on Thursday.

Marketing director Tim Lyall said the group, which has 90 stores nationwide including one in Harrow, decided to open in the area as it "fits very nicely with our demographic".

He said: "The Harrow store trades very well and the opportunity came up for the right sized unit, so we decided to go for it.

"It's an area we have been looking at for a while and this unit was just right. I think we will offer something the area needs and I'm sure people will like it."

The store will sell men's and womenswear and Mr Lyall said there would be offers to entice customers over its first weekend.
