A LAB technician whose wife vanished without trace nine months ago denied murder at the Old Bailey on November 12.

Raymond Jalland, 57, reported his 40-year-old partner Anne as missing on February 10 after returning from a holiday in Somerset with his daughter.

Mrs Jalland, a part-time care worker in Harrow and Brent, was last seen by family friends four days earlier.

Her body has never been found but her red Honda Concerto car was later discovered in the Lombardi Retail Park, in Hayes.

Jalland,who had been staying at their holiday home in The Beacon, Ilminster, Somerset was charged with murder two months later.

He entered a not guilty plea to the charge of murder and will stand trial on May 9 next year.

Mr Jalland was remanded on conditional bail.
