PINNER and Grammarians notched up another safe victory on Saturday against a poor Southgate-Mill Hill side.
Such was the confidence in their form that Pinner opted to receive the ball from kick-off and attacked the visitors immediately. Despite failing to convert possession and territory into points, it was clear in the first ten minutes that Southgate-Mill Hill would struggle to contain Pinner's attacks.
The points soon started to flow, with tries in the first half from winger Evan Harding, and back-row forwards Warren Woad, and Rob Greenhalf.
Centre and goal kicker Damian Wright failed dismally to convert these tries from in front of the posts, but went some way towards compensating by scoring a try of his own.
The second half featured more of the same with Pinner growing in confidence. flanker Jeremy Woodruff secured his first points for the club by stealing a Southgate-Mill Hill lineout ball and driving over. This was followed by prop Vince Pitt pirouetting over for a deserved try. The game was finished off by another try from centre Zain Sibilant, leaving the score 37-0.
