TOP politicians, students, and teachers gathered to celebrate the opening of a new sixth block at a Pinner school.

Nower Hill High School held a ceremony last week to celebrate the opening of its new building, which was officially unveiled by Gareth Thomas, MP for Harrow West, and Councillor Eric Silver, Mayor of Harrow.

Around 150 guests gathered for the ceremony, which included a display of photographs documenting the building process and a student performing the school song from when Nower Hill was known as Headstone School Pinner.

George Nagle, deputy head of the school in George V Avenue, said: “The event was most enjoyable and marks the continuing growth and success of our sixth form at Nower Hill High School.”
