GRAFFITI art in the style of Banksy has been painted in a town centre alleyway.
The mural, of a policeman with a bird perched on his head, appeared in a small passage way between Station Road and Greenhill Way car park.
The bird is wearing a police helmet and appears to be smoking a joint.
The graffiti looks to have been signed “matey”. Guerrilla artist Banksy has not claimed responsibility for the work on his website.
Aulvin Samhoon, manager of Chicken Cottage, next to the alleyway, said: “They probably did it in the night because we always walk past the alleyway when we go to the bank.
“I didn't see it the last two days. I don't think it's Banksy, I think it was someone else.”
