A RESIDENT at a Stanmore care home celebrated his 100th birthday yesterday.
Maurice Gould, of the Princess Alexandra Care Home, in Common Road, had a birthday party with three generations of his family, including his two sons, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mr Gould said: “I don’t feel any different – I just woke up one day at 100 years of age.”
Mr Gould and wife of 74 years Joyce Gould were made Hatan Bereshit and Eshet Hayil, respected titles within Jewish religion.
He was born on September 28, 1909, but celebrated his birthday late as the date falls on the Jewish holiday Yom Kippur.
