HARROW Council has been recognised with an award for its training of councillors.
The council was last week given the Member Development Charter for “providing councillors with the support, skills and training they need to develop and to manage their local authority’s budgets and services”.
Harrow won the accolade from London Councils alongside the local authorities in Croydon and Southwark.
Councillor David Ashton, leader of the council, said: "At Harrow we try to provide the best road map ahead possible for councillors, and we are very pleased that this award recognises that."
