GCSE results for this year in Harrow are well above the national average, according to provisional figures released today.
Sixty per cent of pupils got five A* to C grades including English and Maths, compared to the national average of 49.7 per cent.
The Department for Children, Schools, and Families figures show girls also outperformed boys in the borough across all areas, with 95.8 per cent getting five grades between A* and G compared to 93.5 per cent for boys.
Almost three quarters of pupils scored five GCSEs between A* and C grades, compared to 68.8 per cent in Enfield, 69.1 per cent in Brent, 69.6 per cent in Ealing, and 67.4 per cent in Hillingdon.
