A MAN in his 40s has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a Wembley school dinner lady in her kitchen.
A post-mortem found Elif Oruc, 42, died of a single stab wound to the heart after an attack at her home in Carlton Avenue East, at around 10pm on Thursday.
The mother-of-two, who used to own Upper Crust cafe, in Preston Road, was due to go on holiday to Florida with her son this summer.
Neighbours say she was popular among residents of her road, and in particular with parents from Preston Park Primary School, where her son is currently in year six.
He is due to move on to Preston Manor High School in September, a transition expected to be difficult for him because he has special needs.
Preston Park headteacher John Redpath described Elif as a “very positive, lovely person” and said he would do whatever he could to help her son.
