THE number of people injured in motorcycle accidents in Harrow has risen by 50 per cent, new figures have revealed.
There were 48 injuries reported as a result of a motorbike in 2008, up from 32 in Harrow the previous year.
However, Harrow had one of the lowest injury rates in the capital compared with other London boroughs, and no one died in 2007 or 2008 in a motorcycle accident.
The figures have been released by the Met ahead of a Motorcycle Safety Event at the police training centre in Hendon.
The largest show of its kind is being held after a rise in accidents in London by people on motorcycles, mopeds, and scooters.
The show is taking place today and tomorrow between 10am and 5pm.
