AN appeal into plans for a “visually obtrusive” block of flats was heard this week.
Proposals for 24 flats in three separate buildings at the former home of the Case is Altered pub, in High Street, Wealdstone, were rejected by Harrow Council in October.
The authority said the buildings would be poorly designed, too big and “visually obtrusive in the street scene” but developer Fruition properties challenged the decision.
A planning inspector took evidence in a public hearing on Wednesday but it is likely to be some time before a verdict is returned.
