A man has been charged after a teenage girl was locked in a shop.
Vaithlingam Poovendranathan, of Hurley Road, Greenford, has been charged with false imprisonment over the incident in Uxbridge Road last year.
Police were called to the shop at 9pm on November 9 following a report that a girl had been locked in a shop.
Officers attended the scene and found a 14-year-old girl unharmed. She was allegedly locked in the shop for around 10 minutes.
A man was initially arrested and then bailed over the incident, but has since been charged by police.
The 59-year-old is set to appear at Willesden Magistrates’ Court next Tuesday (July 16).
