London is filled with endless experiences and activities, from museums to indoor theme parks- you’ll never be bored in the capital.

But, if you prefer exploring while relaxing, then this afternoon tea with a twist is for you.

Created by Brigit’s Bakery, the Classic Afternoon Tea Bus London Sightseeing Tour is a must for anyone who likes a nice tea with an array of savoury and sweet snacks.

All while enjoying a hand-crafted tea, you get to drive all around London for 80 minutes seeing landmarks from the Royal Albert Hall, Westminster Abbey and Trafalgar Square, just to name a few.

I was lucky enough to try the experience for myself through Buyagift, and it’s the afternoon tea made the perfect gift or experience.

I tried Brigit’s Bakery Afternoon Tea Bus tour in London and it was fabulous

Booking the tour, was so simple and I had little to no fuss, unlike some experiences through BuyaGift, it can be a slight struggle to book, but I didn’t find this with Brigit’s Bakery.

Directions on how to book were clear and simple, contacting the team by email or phone, and their helpful booking team replied within the hour asking when I would like to do the tour and if there were any dietary requirements.

Responding with my answers, they were able to book me and my friend in straight away for the preferred time with no fuss.

Confirmation in hand, we headed down to Victoria Coach Station, the departing point, and took our designated seat and table on the double-decker bus.

The staff on the bus were fantastic, greeting everyone with a warm smile which added to the experience as we all felt excited about what was to come.

As we headed out of the station, the staff explained what we would see and that the tour could end up being longer or shorter depending on traffic in London.

One thing I will notice of, the buses are old and with old buses come classic suspension so at times the ride does not feel as smooth as you get on modern buses, but that’s part of the charm.

Away from the bumpy potholes of London, every table was decked out in a two-layer afternoon tea filled with yummy sweet treats and scrumptious savoury snacks.

Tucking in straight away, every savoury item was amazing, tasting fresh and full of flavour, the mini spinach & cheddar quiche gets a special nod, but the salmon, cucumber and cream cheese roll takes the spot as my favourite, and I’m not normally a fan of salmon.

If you’re a sweet person, then you will not be disappointed by Brigit’s Bakery, offering an array of desserts, Cherry & chocolate tart with meringue is a must and the chocolate cupcake was like no other.

Around halfway through the journey, everyone on board was treated to a fresh and warm scone and of course, some jam and cream to go alongside them.

I love scones, and when I say this may be the best scone I’ve ever had, I mean it, not too crumbly or heavy, just perfect.

While we looked out of the bus windows to the many London landmarks, the staff were busy making each table their drinks with a choice of tea, coffee, hot chocolate along with soft drinks and payable alcoholic drinks.

Being on a slightly bumpy bus, it was genius that the afternoon tea came in a reusable coffee cup with a very cute design of Brigit’s Bakery wrapped around that you even get to keep.

Throughout the afternoon tea on the bus, we would get new facts and information about the passing landmarks from a recorded tour guided.

Along with the great food and tour, I must give a special nod to the music, getting everyone in high spirits, a great choice of cheesy hits was being played with Spice Girls getting everyone singing along.
