I recently visited Indegno in Shoreditch to try their Bolognese street foods and was blown away.

Located in Brick Lane on a corner plot, it is a great spot to grab a bite to eat when you're in the area.

I had never eaten food from Bologna before my trip to Indegno and I feel like I've been missing out!

The majority of their seating is inside, but they do have a table outside for those who prefer more space.

The tables are quite snug next to each other, though I feel this is quite typical for London and I wasn't bothered by it.

My boyfriend ordered the Cappellaci Cone with the Indegno black pepper parmesan cream to start.

The cappellacci are fried and filled with pumpkin puree. He was bowled over by the cream that he had been dubious about before.

He said: "I can't describe it - there's nothing I can compare it to. It's like nothing I've ever had before."

His views were shared by another Indegno customer who we heard complimenting staff on the cream.

We then each tried one of Indegno's crescentina, a traditional Bolognese fried bread.

Indegno describes their fried bread as "the best crescentina this side of Europe - a street food snack like no other".

This has to have been the most filling and enjoyable street food snack I have ever had. We were both full for the entire day and could not stop talking about how good it was.

I ordered the Veganuary special - their crescentina filled with vegan Clapton chive cheese, pumpkin cream and dried tomatoes.

It is part of Indegno's partnership with La Fauxmargerie - a plant-based cheesemonger in Shoreditch.

My crescentina was the perfect blend of savoury flavours, creaminess and sweetness. Even the dough of the crescentina had flavour, making it all the more enjoyable.

It was a really satisfying meal. My boyfriend had a bite of mine and was equally as impressed.

He ordered the 50 Special after it was recommended by the lovely staff. His crescentina was filled with grilled porchetta, homemade potato croquette, caramelised onions and a melted provolone cheese.

A word to the impatient - the sandwiches do come out hot, as my boyfriend learnt for himself when he tried to take a bite as soon as we got it.

The 50 Special's ingredients were right up his street. He said: "From the outside, it doesn't look like much but all the ingredients work really well together. It's really good."

If you've never tried Bolognese cuisine, Indegno is the place to go for your first time!

The staff were really great explaining the menu and were very welcoming to everyone who walked through their door.

We will definitely be heading back.
