A horror 24 hours across London saw five people stabbed with one of the victims, a four-year-old boy, left dead.

This only includes incidents that Newsquest London is aware of and has reported on.

The week beginning December 21 saw a string of attacks in Sutton, Hackney and central London.

Information about each incident is from the Metropolitan Police.

Man, 21, in hospital after stabbing near train station in Sutton

A 21-year-old man is in hospital after a stabbing in Sutton.

The incident is believed to have happened near Sutton railway station on December 21.

Officers were called to a south London hospital at 8.35pm after a man admitted himself with stab injuries.

His condition was assessed as not life threatening.

No arrests have been made.

Boy, 4, stabbed to death in Hackney home

A 4-year-old boy has died after being stabbed at a home in Hackney.

Kobi Macharia Dooly was found with knife injuries after police were called to Montague Road following concerns for the welfare of a child on December 20 at 10.50pm.

He was taken to hospital for treatment but died from his injuries shortly after.

A special postmortem is scheduled to take place on December 28.

His mother Keziah Macharia, 41, was charged with the murder of her son.

Three men taken to hospital after triple stabbing in central London

Three men were taken to hospital after a triple stabbing in central London.

The incident happened in Ganton Street just before 3.15am on December 22.

Officers, London Ambulance Service crews and an air ambulance attended and found a man injured.

Police conducted a search of the area and found two more men also injured with knife wounds.

The men, in their 20s, were taken to hospital where their injuries were assessed as not life threatening.

One of the men was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
