I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again - Battersea Power Station is one of the best places in London, especially at Christmas.

It’s stunning at the best of times, but with some extra Christmas sparkle it’s even better.

There’s so much to do, so much to see, so many different things to enjoy – and that just gets heightened at Christmas.

I’ve been to Battersea Power Station a few times before, to shop, to go to Control Room B bar, to go to the Arcade Food Hall, and more, but my most recent visit was for a Christmas special… Ice skating!

The skating rink at Battersea Power Station is gorgeous, it’s magical, it’s special, and there’s not much that gets you feeling festive like it.

Harrow Times:

I headed for dinner inside the station first, at Noci, a restaurant which prides itself on fresh pasta.

There are Nocis in Islington and Shoreditch, and it’s been on my go-to list for a while, so I was excited to try it.

It’s upstairs in the power station near to the Control Room B bar, and its gorgeously decorated in Christmas lights.

The restaurant has an open bar with seating around, and there’s fresh focaccia bread on a table to tempt the diners.

Harrow Times:

The waiter recommended getting two or three starters and big plates each so we went for the burrata, focaccia bread, and then three pasta dishes.

Who can resist fresh pasta when there’s so much of it on the menu?

The burrata was tasty and came with some small hardened rice puffs which I’d never had before.

Harrow Times:

The texture which contrasted with the smooth and creamy burrata went together really nicely, and it was nice to be able to have the cheese on the bread.

The bread came with two pieces – one with a tomato base and one with a garlic base.

For mains, my boyfriend had the veal and pork ragu, which comes with Monk’s Head cheese.

I didn’t try his but he really enjoyed it, and you could tell even by looking at it that the pasta was so fresh.

Harrow Times:

We ordered a tomato and aubergine pasta to share, and I had just a plain tomato pasta for myself.

They were delicious, the tomatoes were as fresh as the pasta, and the portions were generous.

I also got a yuzu and rhubarb cocktail which was suitably sweet, tangy and refreshing, and some chocolate ice cream to finish.

I’d definitely go back to Noci and it was a gorgeous place for a quick, easy and tasty bite to eat.

Next was the skating and aside from us not being the best skaters in the world, it’s hard not to enjoy yourself when the views from every angle are so stunning.

Harrow Times:

Whether it’s the illuminated power station, the tower blocks on the River Thames, or the stunning Jo Malone inspired Christmas tree in the middle of the rink, the whole thing is an aesthetic fantasy.

We had sooo much fun skating, or falling, around the ice, and we worked up a bit of a sweat even though it was freezing cold.

Christmas in London is always special, but take a visit to Battersea Power Station for some extra festive sparkle.
