A man has been charged with murder after a young man was killed in a knife attack in broad daylight.

Metropolitan Police were called at 4.50pm on Monday (September 4) to Masefield Avenue in Stanmore to reports of a stabbing.

Emergency Services attended and found a 19-year-old Anis Omar Zen of Harrow with stab injuries at the scene.

Despite the best efforts of the officers and medics, he was pronounced dead shortly after. His family has been informed and is now being supported by specialist officers.

Saeed Ibrahim, 18, of Stanmore was arrested on suspicion of Zen’s murder on Thursday (September 7) and was charged with his murder the next day.

He is due to appear at Thames Magistrates' Court today (September 9).

A 19-year-old man, who was also arrested near the scene on suspicion of murder, has since been bailed pending further enquiries.

Detectives from the Specialist Crime Command are leading the investigation, supported by colleagues from the North West BCU.
