A TORY councillor has denied that an attempt was made to oust him as the rival candidate to a Harrow MP.
A Conservative blogger has claimed Councillor Bob Blackman was the victim of an attempt to deselect him by local party members in Harrow East, where he hopes to take on Tony McNulty, the current MP.
Cllr Blackman said: "I always treat what they say with a huge pinch of salt. I'm just pleased I'm in as the prospective parliamentary candidate."
He denied the allegations were true but would not confirm if a vote took place, stating he did not want to comment on an internal party matter.
