Smoke errupted from a chicken takeaway near Harrow town centre.
Four fire engines and around 25 firefighters were at the scene in Pepe’s Piri Piri, Station Road, this morning (January 4).
Part of the ground floor of the eatery, which has flats above, was alight.

Road closures were in place after the London Fire Brigade were called at 10.46am.
According to the London Fire Brigade, part of the ground floor of the property was damaged by the fire.
Two people left the bulding before the Brigade arrived and there wre no reports of any injuies.
The frie was under control by 12.05pm.
Footage seen by the Harrow Times showed a lot of smoke arising from the building and covering the general area.
Crews from Harrow and Northolt and Stanmore were at the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
