Shocking footage appears to show a leisure centre worker appearing to knock a badminton player out during an on-court clash.
A group of customers were heard arguing with a staff member at Harrow Leisure Centre on Tuesday (November 1) before it erupted into a physical fight.
The video starts off mid-argument, not showing what sparked the dispute.
The badminton players are heard demanding to see the man’s manager during an apparent row over the court’s booking.
In the video, the worker keeps repeating that he has called the manager and is waiting for their response.
One customer responds: “You’ve ruined everyone’s game here. You ruined everyone’s game.”
“You wasted our 15 minutes,” a man contins.
The argument escalates when the staff member shouts: “Don’t talk to me like that bro … shut the f**k up!”
After a player told the worker to “come outside” the worker starts to push a customer before throwing punches.
Onlookers watch as the men swing fists and racquets at each other.
As another player approaches the brawlers to break up the fight, he is knocked to the ground by the worker and left bleeding.
Shrieking can be heard as the man on the floor struggled to get up and was seen with blood near his eye.
An spokesperson for Everyone Active, which runs the leisure centre, said: "We were horrified by the incident that took place at Harrow Leisure Centre.
"This is not behaviour we tolerate from anyone in our centres, and we took immediate action to ensure this individual no longer has any affiliation with our business.
"We are taking the incident extremely seriously and liaising directly with the customers affected by it.”
The Metropolitan Police says that the enquiries are being carried out to look into the incident.
A spokesperson said: "We are aware of a video appearing to show an assault at Harrow Leisure Centre on Tuesday, 1 November.
"The incident was not reported to police at the time but officers are carrying out further enquiries to establish the circumstances."
