Five people were injured when a car hit pedestrians in Harrow town centre.
Emergency services were called to St Ann’s Road in Harrow yesterday, August 25, to reports of a car “involved in a collision with a group of pedestrians”.
A man believed to be in his 60s was detained by police shortly after 6.10pm.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “It is understood that five people have sustained injuries and have been treated by emergency workers.
“At this early stage their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.”
Images from the scene showed a child’s scooter was under the car, but it is understood all those hit were adults.
The London Ambulance Service and air ambulance responded.
Police say that the incident is not being treated as terror-related and investigations into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
