
Wembley was full of cheer as tens of thousands of fans celebrated England’s victory in the Women’s Euro 2022 final.
A sea of England flags could be seen as the crowd left the match, many embracing, dancing and singing.
Across Wembley Park, excited fans sang “It’s Coming Home” as attendees poured out of the stadium.

The Lionesses secured their first ever European Championship triumph after Chloe Kelly scored the winning goal against Germany in the 110th minute.
Whether people were inside the stadium, embracing the atmosphere in Wembley Park or watching the match in a pub – there was an electric feeling in Brent.

Mary Caine, 33, from Macclesfield, who watched the game in Wembley with her daughter Sam, eight, said: “The girls finally brought football home.
“We’re delighted, it’s historic, it was magic in there and a breakthrough moment for women’s sport.”

Megan Morinis, from Chelmsford, Essex, who watched the game with her boyfriend Max, said: “There were so many young girls and women here to watch this match – who says we don’t like football?
“They played so well against a really good team in Germany and represented this country so well.
“It wasn’t just a historic sporting win, it was a victory for girls across the country.”
