More than ten roads in and around Harrow are due to be temporarily closed before the end of this month due to utility works, with one set of works due to continue until the summer.
The closures are detailed in notices from Harrow Council in this week’s edition of the Harrow Times.
Two roads are set to be affected by intermittent closures for more than three months to allow multi-utility works to take place.
Vehicles will be prevented from using Buckingham Road and Merlin Crescent, when signs are in place, from May 19 until when the works are expected to be finished by August 30.
The closures in Buckingham Road would apply, both eastbound and westbound, between the junctions with Whitchurch Lane.
In Merlin Camrose, the road is set to be shut, both southbound and northbound, between the junctions of Buckingham Road and Camrose Avenue when signs are in place.
The service road fronting Nos. 334A and 318 Alexandra Avenue is set to be shut from Monday to Wednesday.
The junctions of Harley Road and Harrow View and Bolton Road and Harrow View are expected to be closed to be vehicles between Tuesday and Thursday of next week.
The diversion for the Harley Road closure will be via Harrow View, Harley Crescent and vice versa; for Bolton Road it will be via Harrow View, Hide Road, Pinner View and vice versa.
Utility works are set to shut Kenton Gardens, between Nos. 2 and 12, from May 19 until the following day.
Vehicles will also be prohibited from turning left into Kenton Gardens from Kenton Road during the closure.
A temporary closure of Bacon Lane is due to start on May 20, with work expected to take a week to complete.
The closure will apply between its junctions with Burnt Oak Broadway and Selwyn Court and the alternative route for vehicles will be via Bacon Lane, Vancouver Road, Columbia Avenue, Burnt Oak Broadway and vice versa.
Hawthorn Drive is due to be closed to vehicles, between Nos. 12 and 32, from May 23 to 27.
The diversion will be via Lankers Drive, Suffolk Road, The Ridgeway and vice versa.
Also from May 23 to 27, utility works are set to lead to the temporary closure of Ruskin Gardens between No. 67 and its junction with Cowbridge Road.
The alternative route will be via Repton Road, Honeypot Lane, Cowbridge Road and vice versa.
A two-day closure for multi-utility works is due to be in place from May 25 to May 27 in Tilbury Close, between the boundary of Nos. 1 and 2 and the junction with Uxbridge Road.
The service road fronting Nos. 375 and 377 will also be shut to vehicles at this time.
