A number of roads in the Harrow area are set to be shut before Christmas for roadworks, starting from tomorrow.
Notices from Harrow Council in this week’s edition of the Harrow Times detail the extent of the closure and other restrictions that may be needed while the works are carried out.
Utility works are set to shut Harley Crescent at its junction with Harrow View, and Hide Road at its junction with Harrow View from tomorrow.
These are expected to be completed by Saturday and during the closures traffic will be diverted via Harley Road, and Bolton Road and Pinner View and vice versa.
Utility works are also set to shut Tudor Road between its junction of Athelstone Road and Graham Road, and Cecil Road between its junction of Graham Road and Headstone Drive from Monday until December 24.
During this time, vehicles will also be prohibited from waiting or loading at any time in Tudor Road, from the northern boundary of No. 2 Barratt Way to the western kerb line of Graham Road; Wellington Road, from the western kerb line of Cecil Road to the eastern boundary of No. 78; and Wolseley Road, between the northern boundary of No. 41 and the southern boundary of No. 35.
The alternative route will be via Athelstone Road, Whitefriars Drive, High Road, High Street, George Gange Way, Palmerston Road, High Street and Ellen Webb Drive and vice versa.
Utility works are due to close part of Gordon Avenue, between No. 108 and No. 102, from January 4 until January 18.
Motorists will be diverted via Kenton Lane, Harrow Weald, Uxbridge Road and Old Church Lane and vice versa.
Restrictions prohibiting waiting or loading at any time, when signs are in place, are due to be implemented in Pinner Park Avenue, between its junctions with Harrow View and Headstone Lane, from January 4.
These measures are also for utility works and are expected to remain in place until February 15.
