Streets in Pinner, Edgware and Harrow will be closed on Sunday to allow Remembrance Sunday parades to take place.

A notice from Harrow Council in this week’s edition of the Harrow Times details the extent of the closures and other restrictions that will be temporarily introduced to allow people to pay their respects to those who lost their lives in war and conflict.

Pinner High Street will be closed to vehicles from 8am to 12pm between its junctions with Grange Gardens and Bridge Street.

No waiting and no loading measures will also be in place between these times and locations.

Edgware High Street will be shut to motorists from 7.30am to 1.30pm between its junctions with Whitchurch Lane and Ballards Mews.

Road closures for the Station Road parade route in Harrow will also be in place from 7.30am to 1.30pm.

During this time, vehicles will be prevented from proceeding, entering or exiting:

  • Station Road, between its junction with College Road, and its junction with Railway Approach and Marlborough Hill.
  • Havelock Place.
  • Milton Road and Blawith Road between their junctions with Poets Way and Station Road.

Traffic will also be prevented from turning right from The Bridge into George Gange Way; will only be allowed to travel from south to north in Railway Approach and George Gange Way, between their junctions with Marlborough Hill and Palmerston Road; and no waiting and no loading restrictions will be in place in Station Road, between its junctions with College Road and Marlborough Hill.

Furthermore, from 10.45am to 11.15am, vehicles will be prevented from proceeding, entering or exiting into Station Road between a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 7 and 9 and a point opposite the common boundary of Nos. 26 and 28 Railway Approach.
