Three streets in the Harrow area are set to be temporarily closed for roadworks, two for a month.

Notices from Harrow Council in this week’s edition of the Harrow Times details plans to close Palmerston Road, Wood Lane and Green Lane, all to allow utility works to be carried out.

A section of Palmerston Road is due to be shut from Saturday and the closure is expected to remain in place until November 30.

The road will be closed between its junction with George Gange Way and a point opposite the western boundary wall of No. 50.

The diversion route for eastbound traffic will be via Palmerston Road, left into High Street, Wealdstone, left into Masons Avenue, left into Byron Road, Wealdstone.

For motorists travelling westbound it will be via Byron Road, Wealdstone, left into Canning Road and left into George Gange Way.

Wood Lane, between its junctions with Brockley Hill and Wood Farm Close, is set to be shut from November 15 until December 13.

The alternative route will be via Brockley Hill, London Road, Stanmore, The Braodway, Stanmore Hill and vice versa.

The order for the closure of Green Lane, between its junctions with Stanmore Hill and Culverlands Close, is due to come into force from 10pm to 5.30pm on November 17.

The work is due to be finished by the following day and the diversion will be via Uxbridge Road, Stanmore, Church Road, Stanmore Hill and vice versa.
