Traffic using three roads in the Harrow area is facing disruption due to roadworks starting next week.

Notices from Harrow Council in this week’s edition of the Harrow Times outline the plans to temporarily close sections of Meadow Road, Hill Road and Durley Avenue while the works are carried out.

An order to close part of Meadow Road is due to come into force from 8am on Monday and will remain in effect until May 19. However, it is anticipated that the work should be completed by Friday, March 19.

This will mean vehicles will be prohibited from entering or exiting Meadow Road, between its junction with Eastcote Road and a point opposite the eastern boundary of No. 2 Meadow Park.

During this closure the alternative route will be via Eastcote Road and West End Lane and vice versa.

A separate order for the closure of parts of Hill Road and Durley Avenue is due to take effect from 8am on March 29. These works are expected to be finished by April 2, although the order will last until June 2.

This closures will mean vehicles will be prevented from entering or exiting Hill Road, at its junction with Cannon Lane, and Durley Avenue, at its northern junction with Cannon Lane.

The diversion route at this time will be for Hill Road, via its junction with St Ursula Grove, and Durley Avenue, via its southern junction with Cannon Lane.
