A high-speed, intercontinental rail service has now moved to a Metropolitan line station.
The first Eurostar train to leave St Pancras departed today, November 14, at 11.01am to the sounds of the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
The move, from Waterloo Station, will give residents easy access to the continent with just one change.
Eurostar's trains travel at 186mph and take just two hours and 15 minutes to go from St Pancras to Paris.
