A car has flipped onto its roof this evening.

Emergency services are at the scene in London Road, Stanmore, where an image shows a white vehicle overturned.

It's happened near the junction of the A5.

Firefighters were seen trying to cut people out of the vehicle, a witness has told us.

Paramedics and police are also on the scene.

London Road is blocked and traffic is backed up in both directions.

Bus route 142 is currently on diversion as a result. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
