Wembley Park will be hosting their inaugural free Urban Arts Festival, a two-day celebration bringing together six elements of hip-hop culture from graffiti, breakdancing DJing, music performances and skateboarding on Saturday, September 28, and Sunday, September 29, between 12pm and 7pm.

As part of the Urban Arts Festival celebrations at Wembley Park, there will be plenty of free activities for everyone to take part in, including:

• Market Square will come alive with a Main Stage showcasing local talent from Brent. Local community groups will perform live music, poetry, rap, beatbox and dance on-stage from 12pm to 7pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Plus, there will be vegan food and beverage pop-ups in the square

• Olympic Way’s pedway will host a custom-built skateboard park. The Outdoor Street Course Skate Park will give Wembley Park visitors a chance to showcase their skills to friends and fellow skateboarders alike on wedge ramps and grind rails swirling around the park

• There will be temporary instagrammable art installations located underneath the pedway as well as vibrant new semi-permanent installations at Wembley Park Market

• There will be open jam sessions hosted on Olympic Way throughout the day, and free workshops in rapping and dancing will also be on offer. After the workshop, test your new moves with dance battles hosted on Olympic Way

• Local Brent charity, United Borders, will have their mobile music recording studio bus situated on Olympic Way. Hop on the bus and flex your skills on the recording decks to create a tune unique to you

• Boxpark Wembley will host a special after-party for all those attending the festival. After-party attendees can enjoy a variety of food and drink from over 20 restaurants at Boxpark Wembley from Spice Shack and Zia Lucia to The Athenian
