A private childcare and pre-school is delighted after receiving its first ‘outstanding’ Ofsted report.
Brighstart Childcare & Education, a full day childcare centre in Kenton, Harrow, was declared ‘outstanding’ after an inspection last month on June 21.
The report praised the extremely passionate and experienced staff, acknowledging the high level of support that children receive and the care for special educational needs and/or disabilities.
Since opening in 2003, previous Ofsted inspections have concluded that the level of quality and education was ‘good’. With their now ‘outstanding’ report, Ofsted suggests the private nursery should continue broadening the existing high-quality outdoor learning experiences.
In response to the news, Sharon Brown, said: “Our inspection was a very positive experience for all – parents, children and staff. We believe our success is due to cohesive team dynamics and the wonderful children and parents who made our inspection truly a success.”
Brightspace Childcare have also shared that they plan to complete the ICAN talk accreditation, a programme for teachers to improve teaching environments and communications for children with speech, language and communication needs.
