Watford Borough Council and our partner Veolia are committed to dealing with litter and flytipping in Watford. Veolia has a dedicated education team who visit residents, schools and community groups in Watford to raise awareness about how to dispose of litter and unwanted items responsibly and legally.

We take a zero tolerance approach and work hard to investigate any flytips. Fixed Penalty Notices (FPNs) will be issued or we will prosecute offenders who illegally dump their waste.

We often publicise information on how to dispose of your waste legally including in your annual bin collection calendar, our resident magazine About Watford and regular leaflet drops in targeted areas.

One of our officers visited Victoria Passage earlier this week (Tuesday, January 15) and no flytipping issues were found. We have received no recent reports of flytipping in this area, but we will continue to regularly monitor this.

It’s great to see residents really caring about this issue and it’s with your support that we can investigate these flytips. You can report litter or flytipping on our website watford.gov.uk or directly to Veolia at enquiries.watford@veolia.co.uk and it’s normally cleared within 24 hours when on public land.

If you see flytipping in action, please report it to the police on 999. Find out more at watford.gov.uk/flytipping
