An accountant who was found guilty of sexual assault has been struck off from the membership board.
Andrew Passer, Valencia Road, Harrow, did not reveal his conviction to the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
The 61-year-old was convicted on June 2, 2016 and sentenced to six months in jail, a 24 month suspended sentence and put on the sex offenders register for seven years.
At the time, he was ordered to pay £100 surcharges and £2,000 in court costs.
Further charges against Mr Passer were brought by the Disciplinary Committee of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) when he failed to bring his conviction to their attention.
On March 20, 2018, the committee proved the allegations and ordered that Mr Passer pay costs of £4,500.
He has also been excluded from the ACCA’s membership board with immediate effect.
