Next week there will be a rare opportunity to see and touch objects from the collection at Headstone Manor and Museum.
As the transformation of the buildings nears completion they are hosting open days and offering new opportunities for volunteers and community groups.
The manor and museum is scheduled to re-open towards the end of 2017. It will include free access to the museum inside the 14th century manor house and 16th century small barn, a dedicated Learning Centre will be in the 18th century granary and landscaped grounds.
Together it hopes to tell the story of Harrow through the voices of the people of Headstone Manor past and present.
The drop-in events are taking place on Sunday, July 9 and Wednesday, July 12 between 11am and 2pm.
During the event you can talk to existing volunteers about what they do, meet some of the staff team, find out about all of the work taking place to regenerate the museum site, go on a teaser tour, or help our Garden Volunteers with some planting.
You will even have the chance to see and touch handling objects from the museum collection.
