A sea of colour paraded through Harrow's Council Chambers as members of the Tamil community marked an annual festival.
Organised by the Harrow Tamil Community Association, crowds of people celebrated the Thai Pongal harvest festival on Sunday February 5.
Thai Pongal is a Thanksgiving festival to the God of sun for Harvest, and marks a time of peace and happiness.
Harrow Mayor Cllr Rekha Shah attended the event along with Navin Shah AM.
They were joined by Police Superintendent Simon Ovens, Harrow West MP Gareth Thomas, Harrow Council Leader Cllr Sachin Shah and other ward councillors.
Councillor Suresh Krishna for Harrow west said: "It was a very well received within the wider community, very colourful, relaxing, and enjoyed
"Lots of positive comments, nice to see all children in traditional costume and looking forward to perform in front of almost 200 people."
