INTERNATIONAL rugby coaches will be running a week-long workshop for children aged six to 18 at Harrow RFC during the summer holidays.

The coaches from New Zealand, Australia and South Africa will be leading a week of first class rugby coaching from Monday July 23rd to the friday, aimed at children of mixed ability and playing experience.

The workshop, run in association with Socious Sports, will make use of advanced modern training techniques and the latest speed, agility and quickness equipment.

The aim of the workshop is to improve the game sense of experienced players, while ensuring that absolute beginners gain a firm understanding of the sport.

At the end of the week the players will be taught the history and significance of the New Zealand Haka and be asked to give a performance of the dance for their parents.

The workshop will be led by Graham Hutchison, a level two coach from New Zealand, who has coached at all levels for Canterbury (NZ).

Commenting on his upcoming trip to the UK Hutchison said: I'm looking forward to working with the young players on the Socious Sports camps and encouraging them to achieve their maximum potential."

All the children attending the workshop will receive a complimentary Socious Sports rugby ball, sports bag and water bottle.

Socious Sports Director, Gary Phillips, said: "It is our objective to give local children a unique opportunity to learn from some of the best rugby coaches in the world.

"Last year the workshops were very well received by everyone." Parents who are interested in securing a place for their child on the Harrow RFC workshop should call Socious Sports on 01727 817191 or visit their website www.socioussports.co.uk.
