Flowers line a pavement as a school pays its respects to a much-loved teacher.
The Sacred Heart Language College, in High Street, Wealdstone, has issued a statement following the death of its geography teacher James Pettifer on Friday.
The 31-year-old collapsed at the school last week and died in hospital on Friday.
The statement reads: “It is with great sadness that we share the news that Mr James Pettifer, our Head of Year 11, passed away on Friday April 17.
“This is devastating news for all of our staff and pupils. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr Pettifer’s family at this very sad time.”
Flowers, cards and tributes have been left to the head of year outside the school.
