Squire’s Garden Centre in Stanmore presented a cheque totalling £1,180 to Michael Sobell Hospice — the garden centre’s chosen charity of the year.
Michael Sobell Hospice provides care, comfort and support for local people facing life-limiting illnesses.
The fantastic sum of money was donated by Squire’s customers throughout the Christmas period as they were given the chance to visit Santa in his grotto and receive a present, free of charge.
Our garden centre staff make their own choice when it comes to which charity to support each year and we certainly agree that Michael Sobell Hospice selected by Squire’s Stanmore, very much deserved the wonderful support shown by the local community.
In total across the Squire’s group, more than £13,000 was raised for local charities.
