A road which people say is being used as a rat run by drivers could be included in a school’s 20mph zone.
At the meeting of Traffic and Road Safety Advisory Panel this evening officers from Harrow Borough Council said Somervell Road, in South Harrow, could be brought under the safety scheme of nearby Earlsmead Primary School.
The meeting comes after a petition from people living in the road who raised concerns about the speed of vehicles using their street and the safety of the road.
During the meeting officer Barry Phillips said another speed activated sign would be installed on the road to warn drivers of the speed.
