I had the pleasure of joining Harrow Borough Council teams last Friday in South Harrow for the latest day of action.

Northolt Road has always been a trouble spot, particularly for anti-social behaviour, so it was wonderful to see council staff, along with the police, fire brigade and trading standards, working so well together to make the streets of South Harrow safer.

It was equally wonderful to have so many local residents engaging with councillors and council staff about their individual concerns.

As Harrow residents contemplate the reality of our council needing to make £75million worth of cuts, so recklessly imposed on us by central government, it is essential that the council continues to work closely with our partners, particularly the police, to make our streets safer. I would like to thank all involved for their hard work.
