Final planning permission for the development of a former factory site has been granted by councillors.
The plans for art supplies firm ColArt's former and Winsor and Newton factory, in Whitefriars Avenue were agreed by Harrow Borough Council’s planning committee on Wednesday.
The proposals, put forward by developer Barratt Homes, include the demolition of current buildings, the construction of up to 195 new homes and employment space.
The historic Winsor and Newton factory will be saved and refurbished for business use.
Speaking during the meeting on behalf of Barratt Homes, Rebekah Jubb said: “This project will mean the regeneration of the site and will offer a mix of housing, affordable housing and employment opportunities.
“It is a quality development and will be an asset to the area.”
