More than 20 community organisations are set to benefit from Harrow Borough Council grants.
The pot of £89,041 will be shared between 23 voluntary organisations as part of this year’s council’s grant funding round.
Organisations which will benefit from the money for the first time this year include Harrow Community Radio, Harrow United Deaf Club, African Women Welfare and Radio Northwick Park.
Cabinet member for community Manji Kara said: “We had a huge number of applications which, as is usually the case, amounted to more money than is available in the budget.
“Our scoring process helps us to work out a fair way of sharing this money among the applicants that meet our criteria.
“I’m very pleased to see a number of new organisations coming forward as this means we can continue to support a diverse mix of groups across the borough.”
Groups which did not receive money in this round will be able appeal the decision.
