PANTO-MONIUM will take over Pinner on Thursday, November 30.
Cllr Janet Cowan, Mayor of Harrow, will turn Pinner High Street into a haven of festive cheer when she turns on the Christmas lights at 5pm.
After that, a musical feast awaits visitors as local school choirs sing traditional carols. They will be accompanied by the Salvation Army band and a whole host of other local musicians will provide three three hours of festive music.
Throughout the evening Santa will be in his grotto and local shopkeepers will dress in all their panto finery to entertain as they jostle for the honour of best-dressed trader in Pinner.
To top it all off, there will be a festive fireworks display at 8.30pm in Pinner Memorial Park, Chapel Lane.
The whole evening is being sponsored by David Charles Estate Agents. Warren Baker, managing director of the local estate agency, said: "We are delighted to sponsor this historic local event which maintains the true village feel of Pinner and keeps the community spirit alive that is so often lacking in other parts of the borough."
Parking in Pinner will be free from 4.30pm.
