Keep the kids entertained with arts and crafts at Little Willows.

From Monday, February 18 until Friday, February 22, there is a range of different activities on offer each day, from tie-dying to making giant pom poms and flowers, to mother and daughter knitting, to learning how to make a bookbag friend.

Most activities are open to children aged six and over, but there are a few suited to children aged five.

Make a book

Encourage children to create their very own picture book.

Visitors to Harrow Arts Centre on Tuesday February 19, will be asked to pick a much loved picture book and try to recreate it using paint, collage, printing and more. Participants will also learn simple bookbinding skills.

Minnie Maker’s Arts and Crafts Workshops

Children can express their artistic sides at a series of arts and crafts workshops.

Children aged two to 11 can learn Australian Aboriginal dot art, make a Year of the Snake calendar or create patchwork elephants and flowers from felt hearts at Minnie Maker’s Arts and Crafts Workshops at Merrion Avenue, Stanmore, from Monday February 18 until Friday February 22.

Film-making week

Ever fancied becoming a film director? Disabled youngsters aged between 13 and 19 can join Herts Inclusive Theatre for a week-long short-film making course.

Participants will learn how to devise, storyboard, film, direct and edit, culminating in the creation of their very own short film, which will be screened to family and friends at Harrow Arts Centre at the end of the week.

A trip to the Warner Bros: Making of Harry Potter studios will also be included in the course.

The course will take place at Harrow Arts Centre, Uxbridge Road, Hatch End, from Monday February 18 until Friday February 22.

Theatre

Hillingdon Musical Society will be bring the musical Annie to the Stage this weekend.

The story of the spirited young orphan, whose seemingly hopeless situation living in a miserable orphanage is changed after she is chosen to spend Christmas with a billionaire, is a classic and sure to delight.

Annie is being performed at The Compass Theatre, Glebe Ave, Ickenham, Uxbridge, until Saturday February 16.

Dogs Don’t do Ballet

Biff the dog thinks he’s a ballerina. He likes moonlight and music and walking on his tiptoes.

Author Anna Kemp’s well-loved book will be brought to life using puppets, courtesy of the Little Angel Theatre Company.
